We have four games from the Allsvenskan on Wednesday, kicking off a midweek card. As part of those games, we have this one, where Elfsborg welcome AIK, and this looks set to be an interesting matchup, one that both sides will fancy their chances of winning.
Elfsborg Form GuideA win at the weekend, and Elfsborg would have been in the top half of the table, coming here on a three game streak. But it wasn't to be, and they begin the week down in 11th with 10 points. There's work to do, but we have seen glimpses from them, and they'll be looking to build on that.
The loss at the weekend can on Sunday and it was a 2-0 defeat against Djurgarden. Before that, it was much better, with two wins, a 3-1 success over Malmo, who are currently top of the league, and a 2-0 win over Sirius. Both of those came at home, and they return home here, another positive.
AIK Form GuideI quite like the start that AIK have made to the new season. I do have my doubts as to whether they can maintain it, but for now, it's been good. Four wins, two draws and two defeats has left them with 14 points, up in 6th and only four off the top of the table.
However, they do arrive on the back of a loss at the weekend, they were beaten 3-1 at home by Sirius on Saturday. Before that, they won 6-2 at home to Norrkoping and were beaten 5-0 by Malmo, so it has been very up and down, that's probably putting it lightly.
Match PredictionI think Elfsborg will get better as the season goes on, and while AIK have lost two of their last three, they've started the season nicely. I think the value here lies with AIK, so I will take them to get something here, on the double chance market, which covers a win for them or a draw in the game.
